Light of the World Soundtrack Available on CD

SALT LAKE CITY —; The soundtrack for Light of the World: A Celebration of Life is now available on compact disc. The original music for this unique production was performed by a talented 1500-member cast including the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Orchestra at Temple Square and the International Children's Choir.

Heard by more than a quarter-million people during February 2002 in ten sold-out public performances, a benefit performance for Olympic Aid and three encore performances, the Light of the World original musical score was created by several award-winning composers: Kurt Bestor, Sam Cardon, Tyler Castleton, Kenneth Cope, Staci Peters and David Zabriskie. These artists, generously donating time and talents for months, collaborated to find the right melodies, tempos and instruments to portray the production's themes of Birth, Discovery, Adversity, Achievement and Testimony.

"The Light of the World musical score transcends language barriers by conveying the show's messages of peace and hope to a wide variety of cultures," said Tyler Castleton, music producer of Light of the World. "With the release of this CD, now everyone can enjoy the spirit of this production in their own home."

The Light of the World soundtrack can be purchased for only $5.75 at any Church distribution center, online at www.ldscatalog.com and by telephone at 1-801-240-3800 or toll-free at 1-800-537-5971.
