The Church of Jesus Christ Provides Humanitarian Aid After Storm Strikes Argentina

Bahía Blanca takes the brunt of flooding rains

A severe rainstorm that struck Bahía Blanca, Argentina, on March 7, 2025, caused severe flooding, affecting numerous families and damaging many homes. In response, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints launched a humanitarian effort to assist those who were impacted.

To date, the Church has distributed 132 mattresses, 125 sets of sheets and 125 blankets, along with food supplies, to affected community members. These items were delivered on Sunday, March 9, at a Church meetinghouse in Bahía Blanca, where several evacuated families received temporary shelter.

The Church continues to aid families affected by the flooding, distributing nonperishable food, hygiene products and essential recovery items. Additional shipments of mattresses, blankets and cleaning supplies are also being arranged.
