    Temple Backdrop

    Misstatement:

    "The main gathering area for the expected 100,000 visitors will be a 10-acre plaza in front of the temple."

    Fact:

    The "gathering area" referred to is the Medals Plaza, which is located nearly two city blocks to the west of the Salt Lake Temple. The location for the plaza was chosen by the Salt Lake Organizing Committee; the Church donated the area for the use of the games.
