“Deutschland, ich liebe dich!” (“Germany, I love you!”) was the greeting from Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to the German members recently.
He visited and spoke to Latter-day Saints in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt, Germany in mid-October.

President Monson has an endearing history with the German saints having spent many years supervising the Church in this European country and being involved in the building of temples there.
There are more than 38,000 members of the Church in Germany.
