Youth from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world are invited to gather as disciples of Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 27, 2024, to celebrate sharing His light during a special worldwide broadcast.
During the January 2024 youth event focused on the 2024 theme “I am a Disciple of Christ,” youth were encouraged to continue developing themselves as disciples of Jesus Christ. In this October event, Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Young Women General President Emily Belle Freeman and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund will encourage youth to “declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life” (3 Nephi 5:13).
“We are so grateful for your diligence in being disciples of Christ,” said Elder Soares in an Instagram social post. “The Lord loves you—and we do too. We look forward to seeing you soon!”
The prerecorded broadcast, will be available for local event organizers to download from Gospel Library and Gospel Media beginning Thursday, October 24.
Youth and leaders are encouraged to view the 27-minute broadcast together on October 27 or on another date that allows the most youth to attend. After viewing the broadcast, youth are invited to participate in a youth-led gathering to share testimonies of one thing they have learned about Jesus Christ this year. Learn more.
President Freeman and with her two counselors, Sister Tamara W. Runia and Sister Andrea Muñoz Spannaus, said during an Instagram live video on Young Women Worldwide that they hope the broadcast will be “more of an intimate conversation.”
