The latest edition of the World Report, a biannual compilation of news from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is now available on Church Newsroom and YouTube.
The October 2021 edition shares how Latter-day Saint Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church, helped quell the spread of COVID-19 with a $20 million donation to support UNICEF’s role in the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator.
This edition also shares more about the Mesa, Arizona, revitalization project for which The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground in 2018. The project is complete — and locals say it’s helping the city find its soul.
Viewers will learn about the latest news from the Church’s ongoing partnership and shared vision with the NAACP, including educational scholarships, a fellowship and a $6 million donation to encourage service and help people in underprivileged areas.
The most recent World Report also shows how Latter-day Saints and friends of the faith are helping immigrants live better lives through welcome centers across the United States, providing support to Japanese fishermen impacted by the 2011 tsunami and helping beautify one of Guatemala’s historic cities.
The latest World Report also covers Church leaders’ in-person and virtual ministry and the latest temple news, including eight temple groundbreakings that have taken place in 2021.
