Casper Wyoming Temple
The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the open house and dedication dates for the Casper Wyoming Temple.
Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will dedicate the temple in two sessions on Sunday, October 13, 2024. The dedication sessions scheduled at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. MDT will be broadcast to all units of the Casper Wyoming Temple District.
A public open house will take place from Thursday, August 29, through Saturday, September 14, 2024, excluding Sundays. Before the public open house, a media day will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024.

Invited guests can also tour the temple from Tuesday, August 27 through Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
Church President Russell M. Nelson announced the Casper Wyoming Temple in April 2021. Construction began in October 2021. “Keep your temple covenants and blessings foremost in your minds and hearts,” he said, as he announced 20 temples, including the Casper Wyoming Temple.
Temples announced, under construction or in use in Wyoming are the Casper Wyoming, Cody Wyoming and Star Valley Wyoming Temples.
Wyoming has a significant place in the history of the Church. Pioneers traveled across the state in their westward migration to Utah, primarily from the 1840s to the 1860s.
Orlando Florida Temple
The First Presidency has announced the Orlando Florida Temple will close in July 2024 for extensive renovations. The completion date for the renovations and dates for the open house and rededication will be announced at a future date.
Latter-day Saints in the temple district are encouraged to attend other temples during the closure.
The other temples announced, under construction or in operation in Florida are the Fort Lauderdale Florida, Jacksonville Florida, Tallahassee Florida and Tampa Florida Temples.
The house of the Lord in Orlando was first announced in 1990. Church President Howard W. Hunter dedicated the temple in October 1994.
The Orlando Florida Temple serves Latter-day Saints in Florida, Georgia, Jamaica and Puerto Rico and rests on a beautiful hill overlooking a series of lakes.
Missionaries first arrived in Florida in 1845. The state’s first congregation was created in 1897 in the Big Bend region of this southeastern state. Today, there are more than 168,000 Latter-day Saints in more than 280 congregations in Florida.
Manti Utah Temple
The First Presidency has announced there will be one rededication session of the Manti Utah Temple at 5 p.m. MDT on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The session will be broadcast to all units in the Manti Temple District. Standard two-hour Church meetings should be held at their regular times on that day.

Natal and Teresina Brazil Temples
Exterior renderings have been released showing the planned designs for the Natal and Teresina Brazil Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Nearly 1.5 million Latter-day Saints live in Brazil, spread throughout more than 2,175 congregations. The São Paulo Brazil Temple was the first temple in Brazil and was dedicated in 1978. Missionary work in the country began in 1928.
