United Arab Emirates: Mormons Celebrate “Day of Tolerance” Performing Service
Latter-day Saints helped assemble 4,500 food packs, continuing a three-year partnership between the Church and the Joint Service Initiative of Guru Nanak Darbar Dubai Sikh Temple.
Rice, flour, sugar and dal were donated by the Gurudwara Temple, while the backpacks were provided by LDS Charities, the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The leadership and volunteers from both organizations worked together packing the food items in the backpacks and distributing them.

Puerto Rico: Latter-day Saints Provide Help to Affected Communities
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Juan, Puerto Rico, have reached out to help other hurricane-affected communities. Adults and young people provided food and basic necessities on the International Day of Service.
Residents of Loíza delivered food, hygiene items, diapers, batteries, flashlights and water filters. In the community in Los Cedros of the municipality of Carolina, Mormons pruned trees and collected debris to help clear the road for vehicles to travel.

Australia: Mormons and Buddhists Clean and Socialize Together
Latter-day Saints have been busy helping their Buddhist neighbors in Priestdale clean and beautify the Chung Tian Buddhist Temple.
More than 120 Mormons gathered on a recent Saturday to clean the wishing ponds and pathways surrounding the temple with high-pressure water cleaners, clear rubbish from the temple grounds and clean various other facilities.

Cambodia: Mormons Help Prepare Women’s Cancer Hospital to Open
More than 300 Mormon Helping Hands volunteers happily spent part of a day painting, scraping, sanding and doing general construction cleanup on the site of the new Nokor-Tep Woman’s Cancer Hospital.
The hospital is expected to open next spring and will provide diagnosis, treatment and care options for women suffering from the disease.
Cofounders of the hospital expressed gratitude for the work on the Cambodia Mormon Newsroom website.
Honduras: Mormon Helping Hands Serve Hospital Patients and Their Families
Latter-day Saints in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, donned their yellow Mormon Helping Hands attire and served food to patients and their families at the Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital.
“There are no words to describe the joy of sharing with those who are in difficult situations and in so much need,” said Latter-day Saint Claudia de Gavarrete.

Pacific: Mormon Teens Harvest Tomatoes for Local Hospital
Students from the Church-owned Saineha High School in Vava’u, Tonga, harvested tomatoes for the Prince Wellington Ngu Hospital.
The Mormon students planted, nurtured and harvested tomatoes from 200 seedlings that were transplanted earlier in the year. They practiced and improved their skills in both land preparation and management.

Papua New Guinea: LDS Charities Partners With the Ginigoada Foundation
The humanitarian organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is working with the Ginigoada Foundation to help young people prepare for their future.
LDS Charities is helping provide stools, tables, white boards, paper and learning charts. The Ginigoada Foundation, with the help of the Church’s donation, has been able to provide 150 young people with the opportunity to graduate from the life-skills training course.
