Ghana: University Receives High-Tech Computer Lab
On January 29, 2025, a new computer lab, which included 60 devices and a large interactive screen for teachers to use in instruction, was given to the University of Environment and Sustainable Development in Somanya, Ghana.
“We can’t express our heartfelt gratitude to you. On behalf of the management, staff and students of the university, we are glad to receive your donation,” said Professor Eric Nyarko-Sampson, vice chancellor of the university. “We also want to commend the millions of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have blessed us with their fast offerings. It is my wish, and I promise, that we will put this to a good use to the glory of God and for the advancement of our goals. I thank you.”

Essential medical equipment was recently donated to two hospitals in Argentina. Seven electric intensive-care beds went to the Luis Agote regional hospital in Chamical, and a digital X-ray machine was sent to the José Ramón Darío Aciares district hospital in Villa Castelli.

Dominican Republic: Donation Blesses Children With Disabilities
Ophthalmologic equipment and coverage for six months of high-cost medications will benefit more than 100 children at the José Manuel Rodríguez Tavares School who are deaf and/or blind or have other disabilities, following a donation from the Church of Jesus Christ.
“In a gesture of recognition of the sacrifice and dedication of each family, this donation represents a tribute to their constant effort,” said Elder Carlos Lantigua, an Area Seventy.

Bolivia: Church Delivers Food and Hygiene Kits Following Forest Fires
Two thousand food kits and 2,000 hygiene kits were delivered by the Church of Jesus Christ to the municipality of Guarayos on January 18, following devastating forest fires.

Samoa: Community Meeting Place Gets New Life
A local primary school auditorium that the community uses for events and worship services in the village of Lauli'l was recently refurbished by the Church. Improvements include an updated floor, new restrooms, a new library and the installation of ceiling fans and water tanks.
The local community also came together to paint the hall, add new mesh to the windows, install secure entry doors and lay floor tiles in the bathrooms.
Philippines: Food and Necessities Distributed to Families Impacted by Tropical Storms
On December 17, 2024, more than 2,500 families in Isabela, Philippines, received food packs and other necessities. The distribution, organized by local congregations of the Church, came after local communities were affected by Tropical Storms Kristine, Leon, Marce, Nika and Pepito.

Ecuador: Latter-day Saints Assist Family Affected by Fire
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped with cleanup and debris removal after a three-story building that served as a textile shop caught fire in Machala, Ecuador.

All rights reserved.“Seeing that more than half of their belongings were consumed by the flames filled me with sadness,” said Carlos Rugel, a volunteer. “However, seeing so many members of the Church helping, shoulder to shoulder, I felt that, even in the midst of adversity, there is always a light of hope. Our Heavenly Father never abandons us.”
“It was inspiring to see the members of the Church supporting each other until late at night,” added Erika Flor. “Despite the tiredness and the dirt, they were still there, united. It filled me with joy to see this solidarity. We are the hands of the Savior here on earth, and we demonstrate this through service.”
Colombia: Children With Cancer Receive Gifts and Christmas Cheer
As part of a service activity for the Paraíso stake, children at the San Martín Clinic and the Hospital del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, received cleaning kits and blankets. Volunteers also shared the Light the World video with the children and sang Christmas carols.
“I am very grateful for their kindness towards these children,” said María José of the Golden Hour Foundation. “It fills me with hope to know that there are people with such good hearts.”
