Elder Sean Douglas

Elder Sean Douglas was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 3, 2021, at age 56. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a member of the Eleventh Quorum of the Seventy in the North America Southwest Area. He is currently serving at Church headquarters as an area assistant to the North America Northeast Area and as an Assistant Executive Director in the Family History Department.
 

 
Elder Douglas received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Utah in 1988. He then worked as a certified public accountant for Price Waterhouse. Since 1990 he has worked for Huntsman Corporation in various capacities, including division controller, treasurer, vice president of administration, vice president of corporate development, and, most recently, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Elder Douglas has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Chile Concepción Mission, elders quorum president, area executive secretary, counselor in a bishopric, bishop, Area Seventy executive secretary, ward Young Men president, president of the Perú Lima South Mission from 2012 to 2015, and stake Missionary Preparation teacher.

Sean Douglas was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 1, 1964. He married Patricia Ann Dickson in 1985. They are the parents of four children.
