Elder Marcos A. Aidukaitis was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 5, 2008. At the time of his call, he had been serving as the president of the Brazil Brasília Mission. He served as a member of the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy in the Brazil South Area from 2000 to 2005 and as a member of the South America South Area Presidency from 2008 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014 he served as Assistant Executive Director in the Missionary Department and as an area assistant to the North America Northwest and the North America West Areas. He served as President of the Brazil Area from August 2017 to August 2020. He is currently serving at Church headquarters as a member of the North America Southeast Area Presidency.
Elder Aidukaitis received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in mathematics from Brigham Young University in 1988. In 1989, he received a master of business administration from Brigham Young University. Prior to his call as a mission president, he worked as an executive with multinational companies in Brazil. He also was a partner of a business enterprise.
Elder Aidukaitis has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Brazil Sao Paulo Mission, high councilor, regional welfare agent, stake president, mission president, and Area Seventy.
Marcos Antony Aidukaitis was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on August 30, 1959. He married Luisa Englert in 1986. They are the parents of five children.
